Clarke butchers, a traditional family business located in the delightful village of Bramfield, is justly famous for the high quality, locally produced range of meats served in the shop located on the edge of the village.
Serving the Local Community Since the 1920's the company has supplied discerning homes ad catering establishments with a comprehensive range of meat, game, poultry and home produced sausages. Customers travel considerable distances to visit the shop and purchase their fresh meat, which is locally sourced, the beef, pork, lamb and free range chickens are 100% British. The shop is also the village store, selling a wide range of groceries, fruit and vegetables, bakery products, newspapers and general household supplies. Within the past two years the shop has also absorbed the village post office, making it an important part of the local community.
Delivering the Goods The fully trained staff will offer advice on many of the cuts of meat on display in the large counter cabinets. Hams are smoked on the premises, at Christmas time they marinated in Adnams ales, truly delicious. Clarke's offer a local delivery service within a ten mile radius, generally on Fridays.
